Xbox 360 Sells 750,000 Last Week, more than Wii U and Wii combined

If Major Nelson's calculations are correct, the Xbox 360, a seven year-old console, has outsold the Wii U and Wii combined during the week of November 18th. The Wii U sold 400,000 units during its launch week, and the old Wii managed to still sell 300,000. The Xbox 360 sold 750,000. This is a remarkably high number for a console so late in it's life cycle, and it begs the question, do we need new hardware anytime soon?

The number of Xbox Live Gold subscriptions also increased more than 50 percent compared to last year's Black Friday week, with over 14 million people logged into Xbox Live on Sunday alone.

Sony hasn't revealed its numbers yet, but it looks like the Xbox 360 will end up being the best selling console in the US for November. You can pick one up on Amazon.

iPad mini leads in Black Friday sales

15.3% of online sales were mobile.
iPad made up 9.8% of purchases made.
iPhone made up 8.7% of purchases made.
Android devices made up 5.5% purchases made.
20.7% increase of online shopping.
11:45 EST was the peaked shopping time.
$181.22 was the average order value spent.
Department stores grew 16.8% over Black Friday 2011
58% of consumers used smartphones to shop for deals.
41% of consumers used tablets to shop for deals.

Google and Developers Discount App Prices through Thanksgiving Weekend

For techies, the Black Friday deals are just beginning. Google and other app creators are looking to extend the Black Friday madness into the Thanksgiving weekend, with deals on a wide range of apps and media.

Android apps are especially discounted, with apps like SwiftKey 3, Shadowgun, and Documents To Go among the cheapest, but there's no shortage of deals in categories across the board. You'll also find some nice deals on books, movies and music, from Diana Krall to Kendrick Lamar. Head on over to Google Play to check out all the deals on the apps you wish you had.

Black Friday 2012: Target

Doors at Target will open at 9:00pm on Thanksgiving, but you can get a ton of deals online, which is always our preferred method of beating the crowds.
